It is ironic that the government decided to handle the power crisis situation in Jammu and ordered a probe into the matter but similarly scheduled more cuts in recent times.

During a high-level meeting at the Civil Secretariat, it was assured by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha that a committee will be constituted by the Chief Secretary to look into the unscheduled power cuts but the power department continues to announce more cuts on one pretext or the other.

Lt Governor had said that whosoever was found guilty in the probe would be given the highest punishment as permissible under the law.

Power cuts that even in the times of Covid-19 when patients who were undergoing treatment at their homes needed oxygen supply from concentrators has been prompting the medical health experts to be worried about.
