PIL against nomination of 5 MLAs in J&K Assembly deferred till July 17
The Jammu & Kashmir High Court today adjourned hearing in the significant case of nomination of five MLAs to J&K Assembly to July 17 for further hearing.
The Division Bench of Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Rajesh Sekhri hearing this PIL challenging the provisions of nominations of five MLAs to the J&K Legislative Assembly today adjourned the matter to July 17 ,due to paucity of time with the court.
As the matter came up today for further hearing, the bench told the lawyer for the Petitioner that let the matter be heard on some other date, as there is little time to hear the matter due to listing of some other cases.
The counsel for Petitioner Senior Supreme court advocate PC Sen readily agreed and the next date was fixed for further hearing on July 17, after intervening vacations in the high court in the month of June.
The PIL filed by Ravinder Sharma Ex MLC & Chief Spokesperson JKPCC, was partly heard on last two hearings when the counsel for Petitioner had ĺput forth his arguments.
Today PC Sen had to continue further arguments but case was adjourned to next date.
Petitioner alongwith his local counsels Shah Mohammed Chaudhary, DK Khajuria, Majid Bashir,Adv Ayush Pangotra appeared while Vishal Sharma DSGI appeared for respondents and SS Ahmed & Mandip Kour for intervenors.
