On 23-01-2021, a police team of Gandhi Nagar police station led by SHO Inspector Gurnam Singh assisted by ASI Balwinder Singh conducted verification of a tenant namely Vikas Bashir Lone who was involved in ATM guard murder case and was staying in house of Jaswant Singh R/o Nanak Nagar Jammu.
“The owner had neither informed police nor conducted any verification of the tenant in the police station. The owner has violated notification No.DMJ/LO 2019-20/1574-85 Dated 24-09-19 of District Magistrate Jammu in which it is mandatory to inform concerned Police Station about the tenant” Jammu police said in a statement.
On this information, case FIR No.19/2021 U/S 188 IPC got registered at P/S Gandhi Nagar.
The accused namely Jaswant Singh S/o Sarabjeet Singh R/o Nanak Nagar, Jammu was arrested in the case.
37-year-old security guard Raju Sharma, son of Golu Ram Sharma of Prem Nagar, New Plot was killed by two men from Bandipora in Kashmir.
