Preparation for “My Town My Pride” Program reviewed at Samba

District Development Commissioner, Samba Rohit Khajuria, today convened a meeting of district officers to review public delivery mechanism in the towns ahead of ‘My Town My Pride’ program being held to listen and address the issues of people in Urban areas.   

During the meeting, chief planning officer, Sukhleen Kour, District Social Welfare Officer, Deep Kumar; Assistant Road Transport officer, Rehana Tabassum; Chief Medical Officer, Rajinder Samyal; Executive Engineers of PDD PHE & PWD, Executive officer of municipalities besides officers from, JUDA and representatives of banks attended the meeting.

The DDC informed that ‘My town My Pride’ program would be held in four municipality towns viz Ramgarh, Samba, Vijaypur and Bari Brahmana.

He exhorted upon all the district heads of important departments involved in public service delivery like issuance of domicile certificates, widow/disabled /old age pension, enrolment & up-dation of Aadhar, water and power supply, issuance of birth/ death certificate, sanction of loans to start-ups/ entrepreneurs by local bank branches and others for setting up a dedicated stalls/Kiosk at the venue of the program.  The DDC also laid emphasis upon instilling a sense of confidence in the citizenry and ensure traction for the initiative among the masses.

The DDC also stressed upon evolving co-ordination with all the stakeholders viz. elected public representatives of ULBS for making the program successful.
