The “Plantation Drive” was organised in Katra Block of Forest Range Katra of Reasi Forest Division under the overall supervision of Conservator of Forests, West Circle, Rajouri Vivek Verma, IFS & DFO Reasi, Jyotsana, IFS.
Commandant CRPF 6th battalion Y. R. Bonkar Chief Guest on the occasion started the plantation drive by planting the Jamun sapling on the occasion and highlighted the need to protect and conserve the environment. He also assured that the saplings which have been planted during the programme will be taken care of.
DFO Reasi Jyotsana, IFS addressed said that the aim of this plantation drive is to generate awareness among the people for the importance of planting trees. She emphasized the role of trees in protection of the environment and human survival and urged the planting of more and more trees.
SP Katra Amit Bhasin, SDPO Katra Kuljeet Singh, Range Forest Officer Katra Sourabh Damral, Block Forest Officer Sugam Bral among other Forest, Police and CRPF officials were present on the occasion.
