Rhea Chakraborty, Bollywood actor has confirmed to the Mumbai police that she was dating Sushant Singh Rajput who died of asphyxiation on Sunday as he committed suicide by hanging.
Rhea Chakraborty has also revealed to the police that Sushant Singh Rajput had ended his contract with Yash Raj Films (YRF). Sushant had also asked Rhea to cancel her contract with the YRF, she told the police.
Sushant’s postmortem report has confirmed that he had died of asphyxiation at his Bandra residence. The Kedarnath actor was found hanging inside his room with a ceiling fan by people present at the home who later informed about the incident to the police.
Rhea Chakraborty has also informed the police that she and Sushant Singh Rajput were also planning to purchase a property in Mumbai as both of them were dating. Bollywood in particular and common people were in a shock after the death of the actor.
People were also raising the issue with Prime Minsiter Office by tagging it on social media and demanding “justice for Sushant Singh Rajput” by initiating a CBI inquiry.
Meanwhile police has also asked for the copy of a contract between Sushant Singh Rajput and YRF.
As per reports, the phone of Rhea Chakraborty was also scanned by the Mumbai police for pictures or videos regarding any clue with which it could be ascertained as to why Sushant Singh Rajput took such a drastic step.
As per a national newspaper, Rhea Chakraborty had a fight with Sushant Singh Rajput, as told by her to police, after which she had left the home in Carter Road where they were living together. She was reportedly the person whom Sushant had called before committing suicide.
