After many pilgrims visiting the Vaishno Devi shrine were found to be positive, the administration has now ordered to get RTPCR done for every person visiting the temple.

The Chief Executive Officer of SMVD Shrine Board has appealed to the pilgrims coming on the pilgrimage of Holy Shrine to keep with them the valid and verifiable RT-PCR report of not more than 72 hours.

The local administration has also asked those people visiting Vaishno Devi Mandir to keep their masks on while entering the city and maintain social distancing. Thermal scanners have been installed to check all the pilgrims for fever.
