With the roll out of new Liquor Policy for year 2022-23, the Jammu and Kashmir government is planning to start six new liquor vends in different tourist locations of valley.
Interestingly, at most of the areas, Pakistan backed terror outfits have always spoken against liquor vends in Kashmir.
The excise department has identified 51 new locations, 45 in different parts of the Jammu and 6 in Kashmir valley where liquor vends will be opened.
Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Atal Dulloo, said “We have incorporated several new conditions in the Excise Policy for the year 2022-23, which will remain in force from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023.”
