Ladakh: Snow Leopard and Black Necked Crane declared as state animal and state bird

Two years after it became a Union Territory, Ladakh has declared snow leopard and Black Necked Crane as its state animal and state bird respectively.

A Notification in this regard was issued by the office of the Principal Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment in which snow leopard (Panthera Uncia) and Black Necked Crane (Grus Nigricollis) were declared as state animal and state bird.
