The government of Jammu and Kashmir has extended the date for submitting of life certificate by pensioners to January 31, 2022.

“In pursuance of rules, the pensioners drawing pension through Treasury/Bank are required to produce Life Certificate once in a Calendar Year i.e, by ending November every year. However, owing to the prevalent Covid-19 restrictions/guidelines it is not feasible for all the pensioners particularly the old aged pensioners to submit their certificates in time and it has been desired to extend the date of furnishing of Life Certificates by the Pensioners/Family Pensioners upto 31.01.2022” a circular read.

In view of above, to avoid rush at Bank/Treasury while maintaining social distance and to facilitate the elderly pensioners to furnish the mandatory Life Certificate to the concerned authority of Bank/Treasury, the date for submission of Life Certificate by the pensioners is hereby extend till January 31, 2022, the circular further read.

All the Pensioners/Family Pensioners shall, therefore, furnish their Life Certificate to the concerned Bank/Treasury by or before 31.01.2022 failing which their pension shall not be disbursed.

During this extended period the pension will continue to be paid by the Pension Disbursing Authority (PDAs), uninterrupted. However, the Pensioners/Family Pensioners having a valid Aadhar can also submit their Life Certificate digitally through “Jeevan Pramaan” portal.
