T20 World Cup: FIR filed against Kashmir medical students for anti-India sloganeering

In Srinagar, after the T20 World Cup match held between India and Pakistan on Sunday, FIR against the hostel warden, management and students of two medical colleges has been registered under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and other sections. It has come to notice that students created a ruckus and raised anti-India abusive slogans after Pakistan won the match against India.

Multiple videos of Government Medical College (GMC) and Sher E Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Srinagar had gone viral in which some students could be seen chanting slogans against India and in praise of Pakistan.

J&K Police is going through the videos in detail and further investigation in the case is going on.

J&K police official said that they are going through all videos in detail and most videos that have surfaced are old and from 2017, thus they have to be very careful and some videos of GMC and SKIMS are from Sunday night so further investigation will clear everything.
