105 students of GDC Kathua declared fail for no fault of theirs

Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua failed to submit the result of 105 students of 5th Semester Sociology to the Jammu University as a result, University declared all the students as fail in the subject while announcing the result.

The career of these students is at stake and there is no fault of them. All this happened after the incharge of the Sociology subject of the College had failed to submit the result to Jammu University in the stipulated time due to which the University declared all the 105 students fail in the subject while making the result of the fifth semester out.

The students said they had appeared in the examination over four months back and the result was declared recently and were shocked to see their results. When students contacted college and University authorities they were told that their result has not reached the University and it was left with no option but to declare all the students fail.

Parents of these students also accused the examination department of the University that how it framed the result without taking the result of these 105 students into consideration.

Principal of Degree College Kathua said that the delay in submission of result to University has been due to some technical reasons.  She further said that she will take up the matter with Controller of Examination of Jammu University and expressed the hope that the result will be declared within days along with the result of sixth semester the examination of which was also held recently.
