Teacher appointed under PM package in Kashmir terminated for producing fake degree

A teacher Amit Kachroo has been terminated from his job by Directorate of School Education Kashmir for producing a fake degree.

As per an order by Directorate of School Education Kashmir, “after verifying the testimonials/documents of the said appointee from the issuing authority, the Chief Education Officer recommended the case for issuance of formal appointment order vide his communication No. CEO/Sgr/Estt/Apptt/5378 dated: 29/05/2019”.

It further states, the provisional appointment order of the said appointee among others was confirmed by this office vide order No. 551-DSEK of 2019 dated :19/07/2019 with the condition that the order shall be implemented after fulfillment of all terms and conditions as laid down in the provisional appointment order.


“The Chief Education Officer, Srinagar vide his communication No. CEO/Sgr/Estt/3498 dated: 18/03/2020, reported that the marks certificate of BA Part-III of the said appointee was re-verified from the University of Jammu by the Drawing and Disbursing Officer and was found FAKE” the order states.

The pending enquiry into his conduct, the teacher was placed under suspension and attached with Directorate of School Education Kashmir with immediate effect and subsequently Mr. S.D.Bhat Joint Director (SAMAGRA) was appointed as Enquiry Officer to conduct preliminary enquiry in the matter vide this office order No. 352-DSEK of 2020 dated 29/10/2020, the order read.
