Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir are trying to find out new ways to enter the valley; intelligence agencies have sounded an alert. This move comes after the security forces choked the known routes of infiltration from Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK) to Jammu and Kashmir.

As per reports, terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e Mohammad (JeM) and Al Badra are trying to enter the valley taking advantage of heavy snowfall in Kashmir.

An official said that eight major routes have been identified by security forces from where the terrorists may try to sneak into the valley and Border Security Force (BSF) has increased patrolling on these adjoining areas on Line of Control (LoC).

The official further added that majority of the new routes are also connected to several areas in Jammu.

These outfits have full logistical support from Pakistan’s intelligence wing Inter-State Services (ISI) and it was learnt that Hazi was assigned the responsibility from them, reportedly.

A senior official said that the security forces are pro-active and have been able to prevent infiltration bids to a large extent and that is why the terrorist’s handlers in PoJK have been under pressure.

The security forces also identified the number of ultras and Over Ground Workers (OGWs), who have been providing support to these terrorists that, infiltrated into the Kashmir Valley and are hiding in the forest because of continuous operations against them.
