After days of reports that everything is not well with the JDU-BJP alliance in Bihar, Chief Minister of the state Nitish Kumar today resigned.
Many people were wondering as to why Nitish Kumar resigned as CM of Bihar? The resignation has also ended years long alliance of RJD and BJP in Bihar that could have multi pronged effects on the politics of the state.
Nitish met Governor Phagu Chauhan today afternoon and submitted his resignation. “All MPs and MLAs are at a consensus that we should leave the NDA,” Kumar said. He said that he has resigned as the CM.
The resignation came hours after Kumar, at a meeting held with his party MLAs, reportedly said the ties with the BJP were over as the saffron party was not giving respect and conspiring against them.
