This Jammu village to get 200 dairy units under ‘Milk Village’ project

Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Dr. Sagar D. Doifode, today said that the Animal Husbandry department is going to sanction 200 dairy units (comprising of five cattle/buffaloes each) for Budhal under the  Integrated Dairy Development Scheme to pave the way for the establishment of first ‘Milk Village’ in the   region.

He was addressing the local farmers at an impressive Awareness camp organized by the Animal Husbandry Department Rajouri in Budhal area.

The Director Animal Husbandry Jammu along with his team of officers was on a visit to the far-flung Budhal area in Jammu division to interact with the farmers and to make them aware about different farmer-centric schemes being implemented by the Animal Husbandry Department.

The Director said that spreading awareness about economic development schemes being run by the department is critical to create an enabling environment to achieve inclusive growth of farmers.
