Three ultras eliminated during encounter in Kashmir’s Baramulla

Three terrorists were eliminated in an counter that started out between security forces and ultras in Peth-Seer area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday. 

The operation was launched last night in Sopore area following specific inputs about presence of terrorists after which police and army mobilized their men to carry out the operation. 

After an initial search operation contact was established with the group of terrorists who opened massive fire on the forces who retaliated immediately. In the exchange of firing, three unidentified ultras were killed while the search operation in the area is still going on. 

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar also informed that more than hundred terrorists have been killed in Kashmir so far this year.
