Vaishno Devi yatra to resume on 17 September

Vaishnodevi yatra shall resume on September 17, announced the Shrine Board this evening.

The yatra shall resume subject to favourable weather conditions. Devotees are requested to stay updated through official communication channels, wrote the Board on X.

The yatra was suspended on 26 August after 35 pilgrims lost their lives in a massive landslide. The authorities had announced restoration of the yatra on 14 September but due to heavy rains the plan was witndrawn.
