Worried over shortage of teachers, Leh schools ask LAHDC for help

Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk visited Govt High School Thiksey, Matho, Chushot Yokma, Stok and Govt. Higher Secondary School, Chushot today.  

All the schools raised their common issues such as academic loss to students due to shortage of teachers and headmasters, contextual improvisations in textbooks, issues related to enrollment of students in schools and infrastructural renovations in government schools.

Taking note of all the grievances, Dy Chairman Angchuk informed the school administrations that LAHDC Leh is working on strengthening and filling up of vacant posts in the schools and also assured his assistance in addressing all the issues at the earliest.

He said that he will take up few concerns with the higher authorities for required interventions. Angchuk was accompanied by Executive Councillor for Agriculture/Councillor Martselang, Stanzin Chosphel; Councillor Thiksey, Stanzin Chosfail and Councillor Chushot, Mirza Hussain.
