33 unemployed youth handed over keys of vehicles by J&K government

Thirty three beneficiaries were today handed over keys of small commercial vehicles at District Employment and Counseling Centre Udhampur under Mission Youth’s “MUMKIN” Scheme to enable them to gain a sustainable livelihood line in the transport sector.

 Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib handed over the keys of load carrier to the beneficiaries in presence of Assistant Director Employment Udhampur (Nodal Officer),   Priyanka Gupta and several other officials of District Employment & Counseling Centre.

The AD Employment informed that  one  beneficiary availed small commercial vehicle of Ashoka  Leyland,  09  availed small commercial vehicle of Mahindra  and  23 others availed small commercial vehicles of Tata.  

She added that the beneficiaries  will have  full liberty to choose any small commercial vehicle of any approved models/makes of his/her choice under “MUMKIN” Scheme.

Giving details of the scheme, she said Mission Youth, J&K provides an amount of Rs.80000/ or 10% of on-road price of the vehicle (whichever is less) as upfront subsidy. The vehicle manufacturer also provides an upfront special discount, not less than the amount of subsidy.
