A terrorist was killed and two security officers were injured in a confrontation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla area on Saturday, according to the police. A cordon-and-search operation was carried out at Wanigam Bala in the Kreeri region of the district after the security forces were informed of the presence of terrorists there, a police officer said.
According to him, when militants started firing on the security personnel, the search operation escalated into a confrontation. According to the official, efforts are being made to determine the terrorist’s identify and organisation he belonged to.
