Intense rains, gusty winds across J&K in next 2 to 3 hours: JKUTDMA

Intense rain and gusty winds warning across Jammu and Kashmir has been issued by the J&K Union Territory Disaster Management Authority (JKUTDMA).

It has been warned that intense rain and gusty winds are most likely to occur over Kupwara, Handwara, Baramulla, Gulmarg, Uri, Bandipora hills, Budgam, Ganderbal, Srinagar, South Kashmir, Poonch, Pirpanjal, Chenab Valley, and Jammu hills during next 2-3 hours.

There was risk of landslide risk, the JKUTDMA said.

The authority has asked people to avoid travel/boating during this period.
