Contrabands worth Rs 12.5 lakh seized by GRP

Govt. Railway Police (GRP) Jammu has recovered and seized more than 8 Kg Ganja like substance worth market price Rs. 8 Lakh and in another case, seized chitta (heroine) like substance market price Rs. 4.5 Lakh from the possession of accused Rafi Mohd S/o Liaqat Ali R/o Godi Chak Ward No. 2, District Kathua, GRP said today.

Accordingly, FIR Number 33/2026 u/s 08/20 NDPS Act & 34/2026 u/s 08/21/22 NDPS Act are registered at Police Station GRP Kathua & investigations initiated. The market value of seized contraband is Rs. 12.5 Lakh. This is the 20th & 21st case of narcotics drug registered in GRP Jammu in the current year.
