Delhi government’s move amid anger over IAS officer’s walk with dog

After the reports of wrapping up the training of athletes early in  Delhi government-run Thyagraj Stadium so that an IAS officer could walk his dog at the facility has been hogging the headlines, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal directed all state-run sports facilities in the city to stay open for sportspersons till 10 pm.

As per the report by The Indian Express which claimed that over the past few months, athletes and coaches at the Delhi government-run Thyagraj Stadium have been complaining about being forced to wrap training earlier than usual time due to Delhi’s Principal Secretary (Revenue) Sanjeev Khirwar walks his dog at the facility about half-an-hour later.

Khirwar, however, dismissed the claims as “absolutely incorrect”, Express reported.
