As the government is all set to extend some relaxations on May 3 when the national lockdown to fight Covid-19 pandemic ends, #ExtendTheLockdown trended on Twitter on Wednesday.

While it is not clear whether the government would extend the lockdown, but indications are there that some sort of relaxations, in areas where no cases of Coronavirus have been reported, would be given.

However many people across the country have not liked the idea of relaxation by the central government and believe that any sort of lieutenancy could trigger another bout of pandemic in the country.

At present there are 22639 active cases of the infection in the country with 1007 deaths.

“Lock down with social distancing should be extend in affected area of nations of world due to stop corona-virus pandemic around the world & every govt. should start their industry on self based risk only for rising economies of every nations ” wrote a user Sudesh Tomar.

Another user Gautam Kapoor, wrote “Visuals of what a sealed zone looks like and the norms embedded in the area from East Delhi. Stay home, stay safe, it’s the only judicious way to combat the pandemic”. He wrote this with video of people roaming on streets.

It is still not clear what kind of relaxations would be extended after May 3, but people are hopeful that at least in those areas where no infections have been reported, they may be able to move out with ease.
