Heavy rainfall predicted for next three days in Jammu and Kashmir

Scattered to very heavy rainfall is expected over Jammu and Kashmir for next three to four days.  India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that next three to four days heavy showers are expected over north and east India.

The weather office said that widespread to heavy showers are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh till 29th July.

The weather office said that because of the impact of the low-pressure area over northwest Madhya Pradesh and cyclonic circulation over northwest Madhya Pradesh and neigbourhood which will cause scattered to very heavy rainfall. As per IMD, another cyclonic circulation lies over the North Bay of Bengal.

In Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand isolated heavy showers are expected on July 27 and July 28 and over northwest Uttar Pradesh showers expected on July 27.

From July 27, scattered to isolated heavy to very heavy showers expected over east and adjoining central India including Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Also, for coming three days fairly widespread to widespread rain with isolated heavy showers expected over Konkan, Goa, the ghat areas of central Maharashtra.

Maharashtra has been hit by landslides and floods and rain to will continue in some areas for the next three days as well. The death toll in the state rose to 192 after floods and landslides, with at least 100 people still missing.
