A team of Power department that had gone to Sarnal area of Anantnag Town to check electricity pilferage was attacked by a group of locals.
“While carrying out late night inspections and remove illegal hooks in order to ensure better power supply to the town, the inspection squad was attacked” Executive Engineer of the area Tweeted.
The accused has been identified as Sabzar Ahmad Ganie resident of Ashwar Mohalla Sarnal who instigated the inhabitants of the village to attack the team.
Principal Secretary PDD Rohit Kansal said that strict action will be taken against those involved in attack on the team.
