On the directions of Jammu Municipal Corporation Mayor Rajinder Sharma the Corporation intensified fogging drives in view of increasing Dengue cases in Jammu so that breeding of mosquitoes responsible for spreading the disease can be stopped.
Today morning a special drive was launched by Mayor from M.A stadium to cover the areas where high number of dengue cases have been noticed. The areas covered in this drive are Rehari, Paloura,Janipur, Sarwal, Rajpura ,Subashnagar , New Plot ,Roopnagar, Talab Tillo, Bakshinagar, Muthi, Gandhinagar and Channi Himmat.
Deputy Mayor JMC Baldev Singh Billawaria, Chairman’s of all standing committees Raj Kumar , Hardeep Singh Mankotia , Ajay Gupta and officers of the JMC were also present on the occasion.
Further as per the new daily roster, all JMC Wards are also being covered and in all wards in coming day fogging drives will be done in Coordination with the Anti Malaria Wing of Jammu.
Mayor JMC stated that such drives shall continue in future also to completely eradicate Dengue from the City.
He issued directions to health wing of JMC to put in place sufficient number of men and machinery so that no area remains uncovered from fogging.
Mayor further appealed all the inhabitants of Jammu city to avoid accumulation of water at their homes by emptying water coolers, pots or any stored water and keep the surroundings neat and clean.
