Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met a group of around 50 aspiring candidates of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service at Raj Bhawan.

The Jammu & Kashmir Workers Party (JKWP) delegation, led by Mir Junaid, the party’s president, informed the Lt. Governor of their wish to raise the maximum age restriction for OM candidates to 37 along with candidates in the reserved category.

In his remarks to the delegation, the Lt. Governor said that the government had already authorised a relaxation of the applicants’ upper age restriction in 2021, and that it had just been lowered once again to allow candidates to participate in the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE)-2022.

He gave the delegation’s members the assurance that their request, made via representation, would be taken into consideration. He further stated that the problem will be examined and resolved by a committee working under the direction of the Chief Secretary.
