Kishtwar welcomes trekkers for the exciting Brammah Valley Trek

The district administration of Kishtwar, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav, warmly received a group of 16 trekkers led by Indiahikes, India’s renowned trekking organization.

The flag-in ceremony took place at the Tourist Reception Centre, marking the beginning of the much-anticipated Brammah Valley trek.

Joining the Deputy Commissioner were Chief Executive Officer of Kishtwar Development Authority, Inderjeet Singh Parihar, and Wildlife Warden, Majid Basheer Mintoo, who were present to grace the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the administration’s commitment to facilitate and promote extraordinary experiences like this, further enhancing Kishtwar’s reputation as a premier adventure tourism destination.

Dr. Devansh Yadav also urged the Indiahike team to discover and promote more treks in Kishtwar. He highlighted three upcoming trekking expeditions scheduled for the 20th June, 29th June, and July, with the second trek coinciding with the Shree Hudh Mata Yatra-2023 on the 20th of June.

Recognizing the immense potential Kishtwar holds for adventure tourism, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of tapping into this opportunity. It would allow the district to showcase its natural beauty and thrilling experiences to trekkers and adventure enthusiasts from around the world.

Following the flag-in ceremony, the trekkers embarked on their adventurous journey to explore the breathtaking Brammah Valley. They set off in the presence of senior officers from the district administration, who wished them a safe and memorable trekking experience.

Dr. Devansh Yadav also commended the efforts of Wildlife Warden Majid Basheer Mintoo, who played a significant role in mobilizing local youth to assist the Indiahikes team.

The Brammah Valley trek in Kishtwar is a testament to the district’s captivating allure, offering trekkers awe-inspiring vistas of four prominent peaks towering above 6,000 meters. Along the trek, trekkers are treated to a unique blend of dense forests, featuring coniferous and maple trees, with occasional clearings that unveil breathtaking views of the surroundings.

The journey concludes at the picturesque campsite of Kiddar Maidan, nestled amidst expansive grasslands, where the tranquil Nath River silently flows. This idyllic campsite perfectly encapsulates the beauty and serenity of Kishtwar’s natural surroundings, earning it a well-deserved reputation as one of the most enchanting campsites on our treks.
