Lost in Jungle? J&K Forest department teaches tactics to survive

The Forest Protection Department Bandipora conducted a daylong training programme on ‘Jungle Survival’ under the supervision of  Deputy Director Forest Protection Force, Bandipora, Eijaz Ahmad Pushwari.

More than 100 forest field functionaries from the Forest Department and Forest Protection Force participated in the training programme.

On the occasion, Master Trainers demonstrated various activities, which are of vital importance to tackle the adverse situations arising to the forest field functionaries during their movement in the forests and also during anti-smuggling operations.

Participants  were briefed about the use of  forest resources during such odd times for their smooth survival. Stretcher making, knot making and tent pitching were demonstrated on spot by the Master Trainers.

All the participating forest field officials were fully satisfied with the training programme and laid stress to have such programmes in future as well.

The participants said, Initiative of such training programmes introduced by the department will definitely serve a lot for the protection and conservation of forests.
