NIA to take over probe of recent civilian killings in J&K

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will take over the probe into the targeted killing of civilians in Jammu and Kashmir this month.

The investigation agency will take over cases of M L Bindroo who was the owner of Srinagar’s most famous pharmacy was shot dead at his shop, Virendra Paswan who was also shot at point blank and died on the spot within few minutes. Also the agency will take over the case of Supinder Kaur and Deepak Chand, and the two non-local labourers killed in Kulgam.

The Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Director General of NIA will discuss the case in Srinagar.
