After the government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir held a shake-up and shifted many IAS officials, there are reports that the administration will go on another transfer spree of Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) officials.
J&K government on Tuesday late evening transferred at least 34 officers that included most of the IAS and some KAS officials. However it has now been learnt that major transfers of KAS is now awaited in the administration. Sources also informed that transfers are also imminent in police department that will include senior rank officials.

Tuesday’s transfers included those of Deputy Commissioners of Jammu and Srinagar among other districts. Several Administrative Secretaries were also shifted and transferred to other postings.
Sources in J&K administration said that the names of KAS officials who will be transferred have almost been finalized and the process for their posting will begin thereafter.
