Unauthorized absence from duty; investigation against engineer

An executive engineer who has been allegedly absent from duty has been brought under the investigation. Public Works (R&B) Department has ordered an investigation against executive engineer for alleged unauthorized absence from duty and proceeding outside the country for many years without permission.

As per an official, the executive engineer is from R&B Department.

An official said that he remained unauthorized absent from his duty for past many years and went abroad without taking any permissions from the government.

An order issued by Principal Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Shailendra Kumar read that in terms of Rule 33 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, Rajinish Kumar, JKAS, Additional Secretary to the government, Public Works (R&B) Department, is hereby appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct an enquiry into the charges framed against Incharge Executive Engineer (Civil) Asif Iqbal Zargar and served to him vide Memorandum No. PWD-ADM/21/2021-05 dated 31-08-2021.

Meanwhile, Under Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department Hamid Hameed shall be the presenting Officer. Further order read that inquiry should be completed and report shall be submitted within a period of one month from the date of issue of this order by inquiry Officer.
