After the University of Jammu decided that examination of engineering students will be held online, the Under Graduate Distance Education students of the varsity have also demanded the same.

Jammu University was shut after several cases of Covid were reported from the campus and examinations were put on hold or re-scheduled.

Under Graduate students of DDE have now shot off a letter to the vice chancellor of the varsity asking to hold online examinations.

“We the students of this institution want to bring in your kind notice that we are the worst sufferers of this pandemic. We request you to kindly take our exams as soon as possible. BA students of other colleges will get degrees on time but why only we have to wait. Some students are only one semester away to get eligible for various posts and competitive exams” the letter mailed to the VC stated.

It further stated that unnecessary delay can only lead to distress and loss of precious time.
