UPSC to conduct Preliminary exam in Leh for the first time

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has given a gift to aspirants of Ladakh UT as it has opened a new centre for the Civil Services Examination in Leh. UPSC will conduct Preliminary exam on the 27th of June this year.

This establishment of a new centre for Civil Services examination in Leh will greatly benefit the aspiring candidates. Leh will be the 73rd centre in the nation to conduct the preliminary exam for Civil Services on the 27th of June this year. Umang Narula and the UPSC Secretary Vasudha Mishra informed people about this decision to allocate a centre in Leh for Ladakhi aspirants.

Leh Deputy Commissioner will act as the Coordinating Supervisor for the Leh centre. He will be responsible for ensuring the accessibility, infrastructure and other parameters as prescribed by the UPSC, at the exam centres.

A minimum of 800 candidates are expected to take the civils preliminary exam from the Union Territory Ladakh. Earlier, the Ladakh UT administration has successfully conducted the NEET exam during Covid pandemic.
