Six commercial vehicles distributed among unemployed youth in Kashmir

To facilitate un-employed youth towards undertaking livelihood in the transport sector, six commercial vehicles (CVs) were today distributed among unemployed youth of the district under Mumkin scheme at Mini-Secretariat, here.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya presided over the distribution function, organised by District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Shopian.

On the occasion, the DC handed over keys to the beneficiaries in presence of Assistant Director, DE&CC Shopian, Hafsa Qayoom and other officers, officials, civil society members and beneficiaries.

Under Mission Youth, Government is providing ample opportunities for livelihood development in the transport sector to unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

AD, DE&CC on the occasion desired that more and more youth should avail  benefits under the scheme in which small commercial vehicles are provided to the unemployed youth at subsidised rates.

The Mumkin scheme aims to move towards creation of a better socio-economic ecosystem by providing self-employment opportunities and elimination of poverty among the youth.

          Vaishya urged the beneficiaries to work with full dedication and enthusiasm which shall eventually go a long way in their socio-economic upliftment and said that the Mumkin is proving impactful by providing livelihood benefits to the unemployed.
