Army conducts grievance redressal meet for widows in J&K

To honour the Ex-servicemen, Army Widows and Veer Naris residing in Doda district and to resolve their pension anomalies and grievances, 10 Rashtriya Rifles (RAJPUT) organised a Grievance Redressal Meet at Arnora, District Doda on 20 Apr 2022.

A total of 111 persons including 46 ESM, 23 Army Widows and 08 Veernaris attended the event. During the meet, they shared their grievances which were noted down for redressal subsequently.

Major General Ajay Kumar, General Officer Commanding, Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) addressed the meet. During the interaction with Ex-servicemen, Army Widows and Veer Naris, they were educated/apprised about various welfare and financial schemes launched by Indian Armed Forces/J&K government/Central government. Moreover, they were educated about functioning of ESM Help Line, ECHS and Pensioner benefits including post retirement schemes.

Representatives of Army and civil adm incl the Zila Saink Board, ECHS Polyclinic and Veterans Sahayata Kendra were present during the event to facilitate timely redressal of grievances. A medical camp was also org during the meet in which a number of specialist doctors from army gave out medical care to the needy. The meet stands as a testimonial to the veterans and Army Widows that the organisation cares for them and always stands by them.
