Jammu Police have arrested a fake doctor and seized Critical Care Ambulance from the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu who had a link with private ambulance operators for fleecing patients.

As per reports, despite police arresting the fake doctor and seizing an ambulance but still there are many private ambulances registered for charitable purposes and operating in Jammu. In the name of charity they are looting patients by charging hefty money. A fake doctor took an opportunity of the situation and was linked with private players and looted patients.

As per reports, Dr Nixon Burat of Christian Colony, Prem Nagar Jammu is not a registered medical practitioner (RMP) as per the guidelines of Medical Council of India (MCI). He was active at Government Medical College Jammu for the past few years and was found roaming in the GMC Jammu premises. He said that he had done his MBBS from Russia but didn’t appear in the Medical Council of India’s mandatory test for recognition of his MBBS degree in India.

“The individual has acted in connivance with the ambulance operator/owners,’’ police said.
He has been booked under Sections 419/420 IPC and FIR No. 92/2021 at Bakshi Nagar Police Station.
