J&K BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi today felicitated Jammu based cricketer Umran Malik for being selected in Indian Cricket Team, becoming fourth J&K cricketer to play in Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sethi, while applauding Umran Malik for his selection in Indian Cricket Team, asked J&K youth especially those taking part in sports to take a cue from his career and bring laurels for the State and the country. He asserted the sporting fraternity that there is no dearth of funds after the Narendra Modi led government has taken over the reins of the country. “It is now the duty of those sitting at the helm of sporting field to harness the energy of sportspersons in right perspective to achieve remarkable results and ensure that the sporting talent of the state is streamlined and no one in this field feels disgusted or disappointed”.
Yudhvir extended best wishes to Umran Malik and hoped that he will give his best in the upcoming tournaments and will become a role model for others. He also suggested J&K youth as well as players to work hard in whatever sport they have taken as there is no substitute to hard work.
Among those who were present include Majid Khan, Nitish Mahajan, Monu Sharma, Imran Rouf and Subash Sagotra.
