In the Chanapora area of Srinagar, an encounter took place between terrorists and security forces on Thursday.
Exchange of fire took place when security forces tried to intercept a vehicle on Thursday evening.
Police said that a vehicle was signalled to stop but terrorists opened fire that was retaliated. Further police added that the naka was established after inputs of movement of terrorists in the area. Officials said that there are no reports of any casualties so far but exchange of fire took place for several minutes.
Security arrangements have been tightened across the Valley, especially in Srinagar, after the targeted attacks this month left 11 civilians dead.
