Curfew in Jammu and Kashmir extended till May 24 in wake of rising cases

Jammu and Kashmir administration has decided to extend the Covid lockdown that was supposed to end on May 17 till May 24.

The decision was taken in wake of rising Covid cases and deaths due to the virus in both Jammu and Kashmir province. While the administration was trying to take effective measures to control the virus, number of deaths could not be controlled especially in Jammu.

According to the new COVID-19 guidelines, Only essential services will be allowed to operate in Jammu and Kashmir. Covid curfew in the UT entered the 17th day on May 15.
