DGP Dilbag Singh visits families of policemen martyred in Bandipora attack

Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh on Saturday visited the families of martyr police Sg Constable Mohd Sultan and Constable Fayaz Ahmad who were killed in a terror attack on Friday at Gulshan Chowk in Bandipora Town.

DGP was accompanied by IGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar, DIG North Kashmir Range Udaybhaskar Billa, SSP Bandipora Shri Mohd Zaid among others.

DGP Dilbag Singh first visited family of Sg Constable Mohd Sultan at Maqam Shaheedmeer Botingue Sopore and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the fallen hero who gave supreme sacrifice of his life while on duty.

While interacting with the family of the martyr he said that the whole police department stands with the bereaved family and shares their grief and sorrow. He assured that every support would be provided to the family.

Interacting with the media the DGP Said police has got some clues with regard to the attack and it is working to identify the involved terrorists. He said that there have been recent incursions by Pakistan in some places in which some Pakistani terrorists have infiltrated to this side.

Dilbag Singh said “the terrorists are on our radar and you have seen that some of them have been killed in the operations and I hope that Pakistani terrorists who have recently infiltrated will be neutralized soon as the operations are on against them”.

In the afternoon, the DGP visited the family of Constable Fayaz Ahmad Lone of Lalpora Lolab Kupwara where he expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
