Fire at Irrigation and Flood Control office in Srinagar raises many questions

A massive fire broke out at the mechanical division of the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) office at Gogjibagh in Srinagar. Many official documents and personal records, service books of employees got burnt during the fire in the mechanical wing office of the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC).

Mysterious fire broke out at 7 in the morning on Thursday when the office was not opened yet.

Many questions have been raised over the bizarre fire. As per reports, official records have been burnt so higher authorities have given the orders to concerned executive engineers to look into the matter and submit the details as soon as possible. Doubts are pouring in as official documents are always kept with complete safety.

There were documents related to pending inquiries were also burnt. As per sources, a high level and deep investigation will be held in this matter. Even two government vehicles were also burnt in the fire.

Government vehicles were parked in the premises of the office which completely got burnt in the fire. The burning of service books is a serious matter for the authorities because the personal records of many employees are destroyed.
