Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC) Jammu reported the first case of black fungus death on Friday afternoon.
The authorities had confirmed the first case of Mucormycosis popularly known as ‘Black Fungus’ at GMC.
Black fungus case was found in a 40-year-old patient who died due to the ailment. He was infected due to Covid and had recovered from the infection but developed black fungus.
