Home Guard units of Kashmir prepared to manage heavy snowfall impact

Home Guard (HG) units of Kashmir have always provided every possible help and support in times of difficulties and natural calamities. Now the HG units have been advised to come forward for the urgent need occurring due to blockage of roads due to heavy snowfall.

As per an official press release, the blocked roads due to heavy snowfall, HG units have been advised to gear up for their services.

The HG units of Kashmir supervised by Divisional Commandant Home Guards Kashmir Firdous Iqbal have rendered all possible assistance to all concerned offices/agencies particularly DDMA and District Police during 2021 also.

It is pertinent to mention that concerned HG units and the volunteers of Home Guards have always provided every possible support and help to concerned quarters particularly in facilitating vaccination against Covid-19. Also their help in Dal cleanliness drive was much appreciated.

Also, for the smooth conduct of Mela Kheer Bhawani at Tulmula and Sindhoo Pushkar Mela at Shadipora/ Wayel Ganderbal, HG unit helped and provided support in facilitating the concerned agencies was much appreciated.

Also Home Guard units have played a vital role in organizing cleanliness drives at health centres and organizing awareness programmes about pollution menace further point towards the multiple services HG units of Kashmir rendered during the year.

Also these units have been a helping hand in management of the heavy traffic particularly on important occasion viz. Eids and Shabi-i-Meraj etc. was one of the biggest help and support and was appreciated by everyone.
