Jammu University plans to fill up important administrative posts once again

There are efforts being made once again to fill up the important administrative posts of Jammu University permanently. However, Professors are suspicious if these posts will be filled up or the cases will be postponed as before. The university administration has issued the application form many times before too, but the process does not end well.

Senior professors of the university are given additional workload in important posts like Registrar, Controller, Director College development in the university. Professors are replaced in these posts from time to time. The vice chancellor holds rights to manage these posts.

There are often complaints being made by Professors of degree colleges that they do not get a chance to work in important posts of the university. The university does not issue the application form for these posts. Many times in the past, people have raised this issue to the Raj Bhavan too. Once again, the university management has tried to fill up these posts permanently.

The university had issued online applications for the posts of Administrator of Registrar, Controller, Director College Development Council and General Zorawar Singh Auditorium. In response to these posts, 9 candidates have applied for the post of Registrar, 6 for controller post, 8 for Director College Development Council and 7 for the post of administrator of General Zorawar Singh Auditorium.

The university had issued a notification on 18th December 2020 to invite potential candidates for these posts. Now, the university management will interview the interested candidates for these posts and will issue notifications of the result.
