Trolls recently targeted Janhvi Kapoor, who is promoting her upcoming film Good Luck Jerry, for saying that Maths makes people retarded. When discussing her favourite academic subjects, Janhvi remarked that she was only interested in history and literature in which she excelled.
Upon being asked which subject she hated the most, she said she doesn’t understand the point in learning Algebra. If there is no use of Algebra in everyday life then what was the point of working so hard to understand it, she asked. She went on to say that History and literature makes you a cultured human while Maths just makes you like a retarded person.
Janhvi was trolled heavily by users on social media as the statement went viral.
