J&K BJP donates Rs 3 Crore in PM relief Fund

After the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the countrymen to donate in the PM relief Fund (CARES fund) to fight the Coronavirus, Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP contributed Rs 3 crore rupees for the cause.

Earlier on 10 April, BJP contributed Rs 1 crore in PM CARES Fund and on April 20 BJP again contributed another Rs 1 crore through State Bank of India.

BJP President Ravinder Raina alongwith General Secretary Ashok Kaul and General Secretary Devindar Kumar Manyal handed over the cheques worth Rs 50 lakhs to the R K Chibber Manager J&K Bank, Zonal Headquarter, Bahu Plaza Jammu and another Rs 50 lakh online directly in the relief fund.

These donations have been received from the former BJP MLAs, MLCs, BJP J&K office bearers, District Presidents, District Office Bearers, Mandal Presidents, Mandal Office Bearers, J&K Government Employees, Businessmen and common citizens including students.

Ravinder Raina, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a fervent appeal to the whole Nation and BJP National President JP Nadda had also directed all the party workers to donate as well as actively promote common masses to donate liberally to the PM relief fund to help fight Corona pandemic.

Appreciating the role of J&K Bank, Raina said that J&K Bank employees have worked day and night and ensured all banking services to the customers in the time of crisis and he called the J&K Bank employees as corona warriors and applauded their services to the motherland.

J&K Bank Chairman R K Chibber thanked the BJP’s state unit for supporting the nation in the time of crisis and also made an appeal to the citizens to contribute generously in PM Cares Fund and J&K Relief fund.

Yudhvir provides ration to East Mandal team

State BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi on Monday  handed over bags of Atta and daily house hold items  in large number to the Jammu East Mandel to  Parveen Kerni, President BJP Jammu East unit for distribution of the same among the poor and needy people of Jammu East Constituency.

Sethi said that the ration distribution drive has reached entire Jammu and Kashmir with an aim that no one would sleep empty stomach during the ongoing lockdown. He asserted that BJP workers have been working round the clock to reach out to migrant laborers, waste pickers, single mothers, artisans, operators to ensure their access to essentials.
