JKPCC executive remembers Indira Gandhi for liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistan in 1971

J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) executive today paid special homage to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi  and the Indian Army for the liberation of Bangladesh on this day in 1971.

During the course of Executive Committee meet, a documentary was presented to remember the important event in the international history, the sequence of series of events preceding the war in Bangladesh. 

Indira Gandhi emerged as the Iron Lady in the world, when she did not succumb to the international pressure especially United States and went ahead with her plan to liberate Bangladesh. 93,000 Pakistan army surrendered before the brave  Indian Army, which is a record in the world history. 

The entire party’s leadership, rank & file remembered the bold leadership of Indira Gandh and paid homage to her.

The JKPCC executive unanimously adopted a political and a socio-economic resolutions.

Political resolution was presented by Senior Vice President and Media Chief  Mr. Ravinder Sharma and seconded by Haji Abdul Rashid Senior leader from Kashmir and former MLA.

Socio-Economic Resolution was presented by Senior vice President PCC Ghulam  Nabi  Monga  and Seconded by Senior Vice President and Ex-MLA Th. Balwan Singh. The house shall debate the two resolutions before they are passed.

Debate has started, Earlier in the morning Political Affairs Committee (RAC) chaired  by Tariq Hameed  Karra  met  in  the morning, for  more than  2 ½ hours to discuss the political situation.

AICC Incharge Smt. Rajni Patil, and Manoj Yadav, President PCC Vikar Rasool Wani, G. A.Mir, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Tara Chand, Raman Bhalla, Mula Ram, Balwan Singh, Ravinder Sharma, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Yogesh Sawhney attended the meeting.
